I earned my first income in secondary school

I earned my first income in secondary school Even though she lost her father at seven, La Viva Hair Boss, Bola Awosika, is a force to reckon Front Lace Wig with in the Nigerian business environment. She didn’t allow herself to wallow in self-pity nor make excuses for not succeeding in life. Many may not know that La Viva Hair is not her main business, but B-Event Total Solutions, her events managing company that caters for Corporate events. Her drive, passion and zeal sets her apart from other business women as she doesn’t see competition because the sky is wide enough for everyone as she puts it.In a recent interview with Daily Sun, Bola reveals how her independent nature and the need to also make her own money gave birth to her love for business.

When did you discover your flair for business?I made my first money when I was in secondary school. I was in SS 1 then. I remembered a friend who introduced me to someone who had a modeling agency. He was looking for models Front Lace Wig to market his products. That was how I started making my own money in class four. I continued through out my secondary school days until I got an admission into the University of Lagos in 1989 and I was seventeen. By the time I was in year one, I already had a shop. I have always been independent and that gave birth to my business acumen. I love doing things on my own and it propelled me to start making money by the time I did. When you started La Viva hair, were there times you just couldn’t cope with the challenges? The funny thing is that La Viva Hair is not my main business but it has taken over my main business. I am first and foremost an event planner and coordinator but La Viva hair has taken over because I have so much passion for hair. I change my hairstyle every ten days and it created an awareness for what I was doing as people started making orders for lace wig and human hair. La Viva hair is taking me away from my main business. I have incorporated La Viva boutique to the hair business also. Then I have my main business which is B-Event Total Solutions and I am focusing on it now.

In that aspect, how do you handle competition? The sky is wide enough for everybody. There are many banks and other corporate bodies Front Lace Wig in Nigeria, so I believe there is space for every event planner to excel. As an event planner, if you have two events in a day, you are going to run mad. This is because your clients want you to be present from the beginning of the event till the end. Even if you have trained people who work with you, you won’t satisfy them until you are there in person. If I organize events, as long as I am not there, they will always find a fault. If you have an event in Abuja and another one in Lagos on the same day,Tie Guan Yin, you have to let one go otherwise you will stretch yourself unnecessarily. This is why I said the sky is big enough for every one to make it in events planning. I don’t see competition.
