Job Description and Responsibilities:
The senior manager will be expected to take up the following roles and responsibilities:
· Carry out and manage tax due diligence review
· Advice clients on tax matters of transactions
· Provide clients with tax planning ideas on structuring transactions
· Support clients on tax issues arising from deal negotiation
· Review the tax matters in transaction documents
· Assist clients on post deal integration and implementation
· Seek confirmation or ruling from the Chinese tax authorities regarding certain transactions
· Support partners in project proposals and marketing for services
· Support partners in managing the M&A tax team
· Conduct seminars and events to demonstrate tax expertise
· Contribute to thought leadership pieces on latest tax hot topics
· Conduct research relating to China tax and business issues
· Establish and maintain client relationships
· Supervise the work of junior staff members within the team
· Train junior staff members the tax technical and business skills
Job Requirements:
· A recognised degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Tax
