Purpose of Position<br style="font-size: 14px; "><br style="font-size: 14px; ">Develop and coordinate test plans to support the development and verification of advanced Batteries (focused on Lithium-Ion batteries) used for Hybrid Electric Vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle from the Asia Pacific (AP) region for use globally. Verify the function and sufficiency of the hardware, software and calibration used in the energy storage control system and strategy. Discuss test assignments with customers; develop necessary test fixtures, test methods and procedure codes; conduct tests; analyze results and generate reports. With the assistance from lab technicians, manage the lab’s daily operation; create machine maintenance plan and calibration plan. Independent judgment is required with some direction from the supervisor. Work with GM Global Battery Engineering in test resource collaboration. <br style="font-size: 14px; "><br style="font-size: 14px; ">III. Areas of Responsibility<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Conduct battery tests per the request and assignment from product engineers<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Analyze test requirements, design and prepare necessary test fixture, develop testing and measurement methods, develop software of for test procedure, conduct test, track test progress, optimize test controls on need basis, collect test data, analyze test results, and generate test reports<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Take part in GM global battery engineering meeting, report test status and results<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Work with product engineer on battery failure mode analyzing and root cause finding<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Develop new test methods to support some specific needs<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Manage lab resources, including lab safety and cleanliness, instruments inventory, calibration schedule, and maintenance<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Work with Purchasing, and Engineering to identify potential sourcing needs and requirement<br style="font-size: 14px; ">&#61485; Identify cost savings opportunities<br style="font-size: 14px; "><br style="font-size: 14px; ">IV.
